About ISRDO Membership
The Ibn-e-Sina Research & Development Organisation (ISRDO) invites Afghan specialists, both inside Afghanistan and abroad, to join our mission of building Afghanistan’s future through evidence-based research and strategic planning.
As a member, you will contribute to national development projects, including sector-specific master plans, policy frameworks, and strategic research initiatives in collaboration with Afghan institutions, the private sector, and international organizations.

Afghanistan is currently passing through a decisive historical phase toward shaping its future. Our nation requires comprehensive strategic planning across multiple sectors including energy, water resources, agriculture, urban development, education, healthcare, and economic development.
ISRDO is committed to developing National Master Plans and Strategic Research across these critical sectors β creating roadmaps that define resource management, priority-setting, economic and technical analyses, long-term planning, policy development, and assessment of major national projects.
The goal of this entire process is to ensure sustainable strategic management of Afghanistan’s resources and development for the long-term future, in coordination with all concerned stakeholders, including Afghan government ministries and international partners.
Why Are You Invited?
ISRDO strongly believes that the future of Afghanistan must be shaped by Afghan specialists themselves, whether inside the country or abroad. Therefore, we invite you to voluntarily contribute (part-time) alongside your existing work, according to your specialization, in the following areas:

- β Participation in research and data collection
- β Preparation of documents for National Master Plans
- β Development of sector-specific management plans
- β Expertise in resource management, policy development, and strategic planning

π Membership Terms & Conditions
Please review the following terms carefully before applying:
β οΈ Important: Please read all terms and conditions carefully. By submitting the application form below, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all membership terms and conditions.
βΌ 1. Eligibility for Membership
Any natural or legal person may become a member who:
- Recognizes the goals and principles of ISRDO
- Wishes to contribute to research, planning, or development in line with our mission
- Respects the Charter and commits to constructive cooperation
- Wishes to implement or finance research, planning, and development activities
βΌ 2. Types of Membership
Full Members: Actively contribute to projects, studies, consultations, or organizational development. Full members have voting rights and can participate in organizational decisions.
Board Membership: Individuals who serve on the ISRAND Board of Directors, providing strategic leadership, governance oversight, and policy guidance. Board members have enhanced responsibilities including organizational decision-making, strategic planning, financial oversight, and representation of ISRAND in official capacities. Board membership includes all rights of full membership plus additional governance duties and voting authority on board-level matters. Note: Upon approval of this application, a separate Board Service Agreement will be signed detailing specific board duties, terms of service, and governance responsibilities.
Supporting Members: Provide moral or material support without active project involvement. Supporting members receive updates and can attend events but do not have voting rights.
Honorary Members: Individuals with outstanding contributions to the organization. Honorary membership is granted by the Board in recognition of exceptional service or achievement.
βΌ 3. Admission Procedure
The application must be submitted through this online form and include:
- Complete personal or organizational information
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) demonstrating relevant experience
- Motivation and desired type of membership
- Declaration of acceptance of the ISRDO Charter
The Board decides on admission. You will be notified of the decision within 2-4 weeks of submission.
βΌ 4. Integrity and Loyalty
Members commit to:
- β Academic and professional integrity in all research and advisory activities
- β Neutrality with respect to political, ethnic, or religious interests
- β Distancing from violent or radical groups and adherence to international human rights standards
- β Safeguarding the reputation of ISRDO nationally and internationally
- β Evidence-based approaches in all professional contributions
- β Constructive collaboration with fellow members and partners
Any breach of these principles may result in membership suspension or termination.
βΌ 5. Confidentiality
All project-related or internal information must be treated as confidential unless explicitly designated as public.
This includes:
- Unpublished research data and findings
- Internal strategic documents and plans
- Partner and stakeholder information
- Financial and operational details
- Communications marked as confidential
Breaches of confidentiality obligations may lead to immediate exclusion and potential legal action.
βΌ 6. Voluntary Contributions
There is no mandatory membership fee. However, members may support voluntarily through:
- Expertise and time contributing to projects and research
- Material resources such as equipment, data, or technical support
- Financial contributions according to the following suggested guidelines:

| Students / Junior Professionals | Up to $50/year |
| Professionals / Senior Experts | Up to $200/year |
| Organizations / Companies | Up to $1,000/year |
All voluntary contributions must be:
- Recorded transparently in organizational accounts
- Used exclusively for project purposes and organizational development
- Acknowledged in annual reports (unless anonymity is requested)
βΌ 7. Reports and Participation
Active members are invited annually to:
- Submit contributions and suggestions for organizational development
- Participate in general assemblies (for Full Members with voting rights)
- Provide feedback on ongoing projects and research initiatives
- Propose new research topics or strategic directions
This supports quality assurance, transparency, and participatory planning.
βΌ 8. Termination of Membership
Membership ends by:
Voluntary resignation: Members may resign at any time by written notice to the Board.
Death or dissolution: In the case of individuals passing away or organizations being dissolved.
Expulsion by the Board due to:
- Violation of the Charter or membership terms
- Prolonged inactivity without communication (more than 2 years)
- Actions causing reputational harm to ISRDO
- Breach of confidentiality obligations
- Engaging in activities contrary to organizational values
Members subject to expulsion will be given the opportunity to respond to allegations before a final decision is made.
